ENTRY FORMALITIES
All foreign tourists visiting
Manipur require Restricted Area Permit issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs,
Govt. of India, South Block, New Delhi - 110 011. These permits are
also issued by Indian Missions abroad, FRRO Offices in Mumbai, Calcutta;
Immigration Office in Chennai & The Home Commissioner, Govt. of Manipur,
Imphal. The area that can be visited include Imphal city, Loktak
Lake, INA Memorial (Moirang), Sendra, Keibul Lamjao National Park &
Khongjom War Memorial. All domestic tourists visiting Manipur via
Dimapur / Kohima require Innerline permit to pass through Nagaland.
These permits are issued by The Liasion Officers of the Govt. of Nagaland
at New Delhi, Calcutta, Guwahati, Shillong and The Sub Divisional Officer
(Civil) Dimapur. Deputy Commissioner, Imphal can also issue permits
to tourists travelling by road from Imphal to Kohima & Dimapur in Nagaland.
