AIR
Islands are connected to Agatti Airport by Helicopter Service.

RAIL
The nearest rail-head Cochin is connected by rail to all the major places in India.

SHIP
Two vessels, M.V. Tippu Sultan & Dweep Seatu ply regularly from Cochin and Baypore 235 kms North of Cochin respectively to various Islands (Minikoy, Kalpeni, Kavaratti and Kadmat) in Lakshadweep.

ENTRY FORMALITIES
Entry to Lakshadweep is restricted except as under:

• Bonafide Indian Tourists permitted by The Administrator can visit all Islands.  Permission is now liberally given to Indian Tourists going on Package Tours Organised by Society for Promotion of Recreational Tourism and Sports (SPORTS) in Lakshadweep, from Cochin and Baypore.
• Bonafide Foreign Tourists, desirous of joining conducted tours organised 'SPORTS' or other approved travel agencies for visiting Bangaram can be given permit by Administrator.  For this, travel agencies may contact Secretary to the Administrator, Lakshadweep, Indira Gandhi Road, Willingdon Island, Cochin-682003 (Tel 69755, Telegram: Laccamind, Cochin), with 4 copies of passport size photographs of tourists well in advance.
