The main attractions of this national park are the tiger and leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard. Staying at the forest Inspection Bungalow surrounded by ever-green forests over looking the river Noadihing is an experience in itself. The languages spoken here are Tangsa, Singpho, Hindi, Assamese and English. Best season to visit Miao
is from October to April. Though woollens are required in Winters cottons
are suitable for Summers.
Nearest airport is at Dibrugarh.
Nearest railway station is Margherita at Tinsukia. One can reach here by
jeep and gypsy from Miao.
Accommodation is available at the Forest Inspection Bungalow. Reservation authority lies with the Extra Assisstant Commisioner. Namdapha is ideal for trekking and hiking. |
