Bhalukpong is worth a visit at the time of the Nyethidow festival in March. Also nearby(3 km) is the famous Tipi Orchid Centre. Languages spoken here are Aka, Hindi, Assamese and English.


Tbe best season to visit Bhalukpong is from October to May. Suitable clothing for Winter are woollens and cottons for Summers.

Accessibility

Nearest airport and railhead are at Tezpur and Rangapara respectively and bus or car can be taken from Tezpur to Bhalukpong.

Accommodation

Bhalukpong Inspection Bungalow. Reservation authority lies with the Extra Assistant Commissioner, Bhalukpong Assam Tourist Lodge.

Bhalukpong is known for picnics on the banks of Kameng river, trekking and hiking, and angling at the Kameng river
